Kult kennt keine Grenzen – oder zumindest keine Breite: Der Fiat Panda ist seit Jahrzehnten eine Ikone italienischer Autogeschichte. Die erste Generation wurde von 1980 bis 2003 gebaut – über vier Millionen Exemplare verließen die Werke. Bis heute treffen sich in ganz Italien jedes Jahr Hunderte Panda-Besitzer, um ihre Fahrzeuge zu präsentieren – original oder, wie in diesem Fall, radikal umgebaut.<BR /><BR />Seinen schmalen Panda präsentierte Marazzi bei einem großen Panda-Treffen im lombardischen Pandino, rund 30 Kilometer südöstlich von Mailand. 1.063 Fans feierten dort das 45-jährige Bestehen der Fiat-Ikone – und staunten über Marazzis fahrendes Kunstwerk.<h3> Wie aus Kult Karosserie-Kunst wurde</h3>Der Umbau ist ebenso genial wie extrem: Marazzi entfernte beim Panda den kompletten Mittelteil – übrig blieben fast nur die beiden originalen Seitenwände. Die Dachreling ist noch da, Scheinwerfer, Blinker, Stoßfänger und selbst die Radioantenne – alles originalgetreu erhalten oder geschickt angepasst. An der Front prangt ein einzelner Scheinwerfer, flankiert von zwei Blinklichtern. Die Motorhaube wurde verkleinert, die Frontschürze maßgeschneidert. Ein Abenteuer in Minimalismus: Das Armaturenbrett ist so reduziert, dass es im Vergleich selbst Teslas spartanisch wirken lässt. Die Lüftungsdüse reicht über die gesamte Mini-Breite. Ein winziges Lenkrad ragt hervor, daneben Zündschlüssel, Fensterkurbeln – und kaum Platz für die Knie. Wer fährt, muss sie eng anlegen, um sich keine Druckstellen zu holen. Die Rückbank? Reine Formsache. Dort hätte höchstens ein Salatblatt Platz, wie Marazzi selbst scherzt. Immerhin: Die Heckfenster lassen sich wie beim Original ausstellen.<h3> Schmaler als ein Fahrrad</h3>Mit einer Spurweite von gerade einmal 25 Zentimetern rollt der Schmal-Panda tatsächlich auf vier Rädern. Ein kräftiger Seitenwind dürfte jedoch reichen, um ihn ins Schlingern zu bringen. Für Sicherheit sorgt immerhin die stabile Karosserie – Gurte oder Innenspiegel fehlen hingegen. Damit der Panda überhaupt fährt, hat Marazzi ihn auf Elektroantrieb umgebaut. In Videos fährt er damit stolz über das Ausstellungsgelände. Dabei bleiben die Seitenscheiben stets geöffnet – nur so haben Schultern und Arme des Fahrers überhaupt Platz.<BR /><BR />Im Vergleich wirkt selbst ein schmaler Roller wie der BMW C1 (85 Zentimeter breit) oder ein normales Fahrrad (60 bis 70 Zentimeter) neben Marazzis Panda fast wuchtig. Der originale Fiat Panda der ersten Generation war mit rund 1,5 Metern fast dreimal so breit.<h3> Ein Auto als rollendes Kunstwerk</h3>Auch wenn der Umbau kaum Chancen auf eine Straßenzulassung hat: Der schmalste Panda der Welt ist ein rollendes Kunstwerk, das den Kult um den Panda weiterleben lässt – in einer Form, die garantiert überall Blicke auf sich zieht.<BR /><BR />Andrea Marazzi selbst hofft, mit seinem Einzelstück einen offiziellen Weltrekord aufstellen zu können. Kaufen kann man den Mini-Panda jedoch nicht – er bleibt ein Ausstellungsstück und Symbol dafür, dass Kreativität keine Grenzen kennt. Oder eben keine Breite.<BR /><BR /><BR />Mit viel Hingabe, Originalteilen und einem Augenzwinkern hat Marazzi bewiesen, dass ein 45 Jahre alter Fiat Panda selbst im Jahr 2025 noch für Aufsehen sorgen kann. Sein Schmalbau-Panda ist nicht nur ein Beweis für italienischen Erfindergeist, sondern auch eine Liebeserklärung an ein Auto, das längst zum Kult geworden ist.
